So Young Moments: Caught on Video!

Here is a longer compilation of home videos of So Young that Shannon put together. I’m playing it at home every once in a while so I can hear her voice.

  1. By the way, it exceeds the maximum duration allowed by YouTube, so you can’t play it in full screen mode.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing this, guys. It is so good to see So Young and hear her again. And quite silly, too!!!

  3. The boys and I loved watching this. Thanks for posting. We miss her so much, but seeing her laugh and being silly makes us so happy. We laughed a lot at her silliness and when you sang James 😉

    • Yes, a lot of people don’t know that I am a very talented singer and have great facial expressions.

  4. Loved seeing this! Thanks James.

  5. I loved hearing So Young’s voice as well. Bitter-sweet. I miss her also.

  6. I will forever be sorry I was in Texas and missed her fortieth birthday, but I’m so glad you have it on video! Continued love to all.

  7. I did not quite realized how talented in music your family was…So Young definitely had a full life filled with joy! Thanks!

  8. Thanks for sharing this video, James. It’s so nice to see her in action and see what a wonderful, energetic and fun person she was 🙂

  9. Thanks for sharing, James.

  10. Thanks everybody for your responses.

There’s this really profound moment with about 25 seconds left in the video where So Young makes a wish before blowing out the candles on her cake. She always made a real wish and paused for a while when she did this, at every birthday. I got sad just now thinking about what she was wishing for. I know exactly what it was. I wonder if everybody else there didn’t think the same thing. She didn’t get her wish in the way she hoped for, but she got a better healing after all, just not here on earth.

  11. Yes. I had that moment too.

  12. Just got around to finally seeing this video. Really enjoyed your family moments…even though So Young’s life was cut short, the videos seemed to capture a lifetime’s worth of love and joy.
